Become a Days of the Dead Exhibit Guide!

Celebrate California’s cultural roots by guiding students among the altars and installations showcasing the diverse traditions, stories, and icons of the Days of the Dead, in the upcoming exhibition The Tree of Life and Death: Días de los Muertos 2013, on view from October 9 through December 8, 2013. Help students and visitors discover how the practices of this holiday remind us of our connection to our ancestors, each other, and to the most basic cycles of life.

Training Session Dates
Please plan to attend all five training sessions:

  • Saturday, September 21, 1–4 pm
  • Saturday, September 28, 1–4 pm
  • Saturday, October 5, 1–4 pm
  • Sunday, October 6, 1–4 pm
  • Saturday, November 2, 11 am–12:30 pm

Volunteers must be available to lead student tours one day a week for three hours on Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday mornings or early afternoons, October 9–December 6, 2013. No experience necessary. Bilingual Spanish speakers are encouraged to apply.
