Special Holiday Hours

Friday, January 5, 11 am–9 pm
Friday, January 5, 2018 - 11:00am
Friday Nights @ OMCA is taking a break until January 12, 2018.
Regular programming with music, dancing, Off the Grid food trucks, and family activities will resume on Friday, January 12, 2018. But don't worry! We've still got you covered on Friday, January 5 with late night gallery hours from 5–9 pm, plus snacks and bar service at the Blue Oak café until 8 pm.

Have guests in town and kids home for winter break? Need help entertaining them both? Show off your Museum and come away with plenty to talk about together after your visit! Double win! OMCA stays open extra days this holiday season, so you can take advantage of all that the Museum has to offer—including an after-dinner trip on Fridays with late night gallery hours starting at 5 pm!

And we're still here for your Friday night fun, too. Tonight, take a Snack-Sized Tour with a Docent at 7:30 pm. Check at the Ticketing desk to discover this evening’s meeting place and surprise theme.

On Fridays from 5–9 pm, enjoy grab-and-go snacks and bar service at the Blue Oak café until 8 pm. Plus, you can bring your drinks into Nature’s Gift: Humans, Friends & the Unknown, which has everything you need to relax and let loose right inside the Astroturf-lined gallery alongside bean bangs and hammocks next to the glowing inflatable sculpture. Don't forget to stop by the Pop-Up Store to grab LED-lit swag to enhance your experience!

Don't miss a chance to explore the Days of the Dead exhibition Metamorphosis & Migration, the newly opened Take Root: Oakland Grows Food, the powerful video installation Question Bridge: Black Males, and our three galleries of California art, history, and science. Enjoy the view of Lake Merritt from the gardens, shop the OMCA Store, and grab a bite at the Blue Oak café.
